Love, Wine & Songs to Sing™

"Creating a community to make a positive difference in the world through the pursuit of satisfaction in life."

This group and our events seek to complement and offer a locus to tie seemingly disparate ideas, themes, people and groups together in ways even they may not be fully aware are possible.  This does take a bit of time, and cannot be fully experienced in one or two meetings.  The choice to be persistent is up to the individual and how much they truly care about their ideals.  Too many groups today either seek to or end up dividing over narrowness.  Our group seeks to remind everyone of the commonalities and good we all share.  In this context, the somewhat eclectic nature of our approach makes perfect sense.

My name is Christopher, and I believe waste is something to be minimized, whether it's money, people, opportunity or freedom.  I am concerned with the things in our society which are destructive whether to individuals or the people at large.  I also like to have fun, meet new people, socialize and discover new ideas.  So I created this monthly event, which includes a social wine-tasting component because people like to go out and have fun.  LWSTS is an expansion of something I have done each month for the last three years called The Sustainable Society discussion group.  I am NOT promoting alcoholism, but I have no problem with responsible social drinking once in a while.  Click here for more explanation of this.

Most of us want to live full, rich, interesting, fun, exciting and rewarding lives.  However, there are many forces our society is struggling with today.  These forces represent negative things which destroy the individual, opportunity, families, hope, equality, fairness and even entire lives.  And I have discovered they have cost us all financially in unnecessary extra taxation and billions of wasted lost dollars.  Rather than simply complain about the way things are, I decided to do something about it.

I believe we have great untapped potential to solve some of the greatest problems we face in our communities, our society, our country and our world.  I started this event to give all people an open forum to come together to both learn about problems we have and why they exist, and to offer and then implement positive solutions with one overriding focus: to solve the problems and unlock the vast untapped potential in all of us.

So I am looking for you:  Is it worth a few dollars and a couple of hours of your time each month to come together and be part of real solutions rather than just continuing the problems which cost us all financially, and in our freedom and personhood?  I want to find out if anyone else cares about our communities, or country and our world.  All you have to do is show up and be willing to listen. LWSTS is about connecting people.  LWSTS is about quality fun.  LWSTS is positive.  LWSTS is informative. LWSTS has good music. LWSTS is creative.  LWSTS is a social event. LWSTS is a movement.

LWSTS is not concerned about where we come from, but where we can go and how best to get us there.

LWSTS is about creating a better world by coming together and doing our best today, instead of waiting for "someday" to happen.  LWSTS is about creating a community encouraging the best in each of us, while allowing each individual freedom and flexibility in determining how to go about making it happen.  LWSTS was created to allow people to have a choice in a quality experience of a fun, social evening out that's quite different from the typical bar-scene party culture.  LWSTS emphasizes mutual respect.

LWSTS seeks to attract those individuals who desire to do or are doing positive things with the opportunity that being a living human being gives them.  LWSTS allows people to associate with other like-minded positive people in a quality atmosphere while not requiring them to belong to any particular cultural or idealogical background.  LWSTS promotes interactive comparative learning and sociability by allowing people the freedom to examine ideas from multiple perspectives in order to form informed opinions for themselves.

LWSTS grew out of The Sustainable Society monthly event, ongoing since 2004, started by a young idealist who goes by the name of Christopher, Philosopher. Now, LWSTS is bringing people together for a better society for all.
