ALCOHOL & RESPONSIBILITY
Wine has been with mankind for thousands of years of civilization. It is part of spiritual and religious ceremonies, used to commemorate important events, christen ships, toast moments, and celebrate unions and reunions. Unfortunately, for some it can be a problem.
This group promotes responsibility in life and choices. We do not promote destruction. Alcohol, for those who choose to partake, respresents an area where caution, thoughtfulness, and responsibility are clearly needed and involved. An occasional drink in a social setting where food is available is not a problem for most people. However, some people should not drink. Those who choose to do so are best served by exercising responsibility, knowing when to say when, and observing the laws regarding the responsible consumption of alcohol.

The following is a quote taken from the online version of the Big Book published by Alcoholics Anonymous, and can be applied to any potentailly problematic situation: "We hope we have made clear the distinction between the alcoholic and the non-alcoholic. If, when you honestly want to, you find you cannot quit entirely, or if when drinking, you have little control over the amount you take, you are probably alcoholic. If that be the case, you may be suffering from an illness." (direct quote from: http://www.aa.org/bigbookonline/en_BigBook_chapt4.pdf)
